Purdys Chocolatier Giveaway

May 1, 2017 by Nicole 100 Comments

Hey Saskatchewan, we’ve finally got our very own Purdys Chocolate Shop!

To celebrate their first location in Saskatchewan, Purdys has teamed up with Culinary Cool to offer you the chance to win a box of your favourite Purdys chocolates.  Value is approx $30CND.  This post is sponsored by Purdys Chocolatier.  Although I’ve been compensated for this post, all opinions are my own.  Follow along on social media using the hashtag #SKLovesPurdys.

Purdy's Chocolates Giveaway | Culinary Cool

If there’s one thing I can’t resist, it’s good chocolate.  I’m a sucker for it all – dark, milk, white, I don’t discriminate.  Which is why when Purdys offered to send me a box of chocolates to try, I couldn’t say no!

For more than 100 years, Purdys Chocolatier has helped make someone’s day sweeter with quality, handcrafted chocolates. A true Canadian chocolatier, Purdys was founded in 1907 in Vancouver, and is now Canada’s leading family-owned chocolatier.  What I find remarkable about Purdys is that they use ethically sourced cocoa for all their chocolates.  They pay a premium for cocoa to ensure all their farmer partners and co-ops are supported by programs that improve their profit and the livelihoods of their families.

Not only do they care about sustainability, and supporting local farmers,  but they never compromise on quality, and after my first bite, that was evident.

Purdy's Chocolates Giveaway | Culinary Cool

My sister and I tasted every chocolate in the box sent to me and they were amazing!!  We LOVED the White Chocolate Peanut Butter Mayan (white pyramid-looking chocolate).  But if we had to pick one hands-down favourite, it was the Himalayan Pink Salt Caramel (the dark chocolate version).  The caramel was thick and chewy and the crunchy Himalayan Pink Salt added the perfect amount of saltiness.  We both agreed that we could eat an entire box of salted caramels by ourselves.

Purdy's Chocolates Giveaway | Culinary Cool

If you’re in Saskatoon, you should stop in and visit the brand spankin’ new Purdys Chocolate Shop downtown in Midtown Plaza.  They officially opened on April 29th.  I personally cannot wait to get my hands on some Sweet Georgia Browns, Saskatoon Berry and the Tiramisu Truffle.

Now it’s your turn to indulge!  Enter below for your change to win a box of Purdys Chocolates!  You must comment below and let us know which Purdys chocolates you want to try.  Scroll to the very, very bottom of the page to enter your comment, then use the Rafflecopter widget to record your entry.

This giveaway is open to all legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority at the time of the contest in the province or territory in which they reside.

Void in Quebec.

No purchase necessary to enter.

Giveaway will run from Monday, May 1st at 12:01am to end on Sunday, May 7th at 11:59pm. Winner is chosen at random via Rafflecopter.  Blog comment is required.  Winner will be contacted via email and given 48 hours to respond.  If not, a new winner will be chosen. Winner selected MUST correctly answer a skill-testing mathematical question. Winner’s name will be displayed on Rafflecopter widget. Email address will never be given out to any third party or anyone for that matter.

Prize value is approximately $30.00 CDN.

If you’re like (almost) every other person who celebrated Thanksgiving over the weekend, then you have leftover turkey in your fridge or freezer right now.  Chances are, you’re also looking for inspiration for new ways to use it up.  May I suggest this recipe?  A hearty casserole full of nutty wild rice, broccoli, leftover turkey, and melty cheddar with those irresistible crispy bits around the edges.

Little Baby Isla loves to play with her toes, chewing on her hands,  make high pitch squeals when she's excited, and demands ALL the attention! .

She never sits still, loves when I sing to her (@lizzobeeating is a current fave...and when I hum the Pink Panther theme song). She enjoys when her kitty friends join us for snuggles, too.
