Margarita Jello Shots

  • 2 4 Serving pkgs Lime flavoured Jello
  • 2 envelopes of Knox un-flavoured gelatin
  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 6 oz Triple Sec or Cointreau
  • 4 oz tequila
  • coarse salt


  • Line a 9x9* inch baking pan with plastic wrap, allowing some to hang over the edges. Set aside.
  • In a medium sized bowl, add the lime Jello and unflavoured gelatin. Whisk to combine.
  • Add the boiling water and mix to help the gelatin to dissolve.
  • Add in the Triple Sec and tequila and mix until combined.
  • Pour the mixture into the baking pan and refrigerate until set, about 4 hours.
  • Once set, lift the plastic wrap and jello from the pan. Cut the jello into desired shape.
  • Top with coarse salt.


*if you want a thinner jello shot, use a 9x13 inch plan.
