Butter Baby Hot Chocolate


  • 3 cups 2% milk
  • 6-7 ounces high quality dark chocolate
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 ounces Irish Cream Liqueur
  • 2 ounces Butterscotch Schnapps


  1. Finely chop the chocolate. Set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, bring the milk and cream to a low simmer over medium heat, whisking occasionally.
  3. Add the chocolate. Whisk constantly until all of the chocolate has melted.
  4. Add the salt, sugar, Irish Cream and Butterscotch Schnapps.
  5. Cook for an additional 4 minutes, whisking constantly.
  6. Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
